• Energy saving with a better ratio between the air and the amount of conveyed product. The following is an indicative ratio of the air (or other gaseous fluids) to product:
Dense phase – about 30 liters of carrier gas per kilogram of product.
Other systems – about 1000 liters of carrier gas per kilogram of product.
• Low maintenance costs; few moving parts result in less wear on the system when compared to conventional conveying methods.

Mangimi e alimenti per animali sono spesso prodotti fragili che tendono a danneggiarsi durante le fasi trasporto. È quindi fondamentale garantire sia la qualità sia l’integrità del materiale durante la movimentazione al fine di ottimizzare il processo produttivo e contenere i costi.
I sistemi di trasporto meccanico presenti sul mercato comportano il rischio di rompere il materiale, si usurano facilmente e non sono idonei per layout complessi, con tratti verticali e curve. I sistemi di trasporto pneumatico si distinguono dai precedenti per le tubazioni chiuse e la possibilità di coprire anche lunghe distanze. Il trasporto pneumatico in fase diluita muove il materiale ad un’alta velocità, mentre la tecnologia in fase densa si differenzia per la bassa velocità di trasporto.
Le soluzioni in fase densa possono estendersi per distanze di oltre 500 metri e gestire portate superiori alle 100 tonnellate orarie, con percorsi talvolta complessi.
La tecnologia in fase densa è idonea per materiali fragili e miscele di prodotti grazie alla bassa velocità di funzionamento che preserva l’integrità del prodotto e ne previene la segregazione.
Si distingue dai metodi di trasporto tradizionali per:
• Ridotti costi di progettazione e montaggio.
• Quantità ridotta di aria compressa o altro gas inerte con un notevole risparmio economico.
• Risparmio energetico con un miglior rapporto tra aria e quantità di prodotto trasportato. Il rapporto indicativo tra aria o altri fluidi gassosi e prodotto è il seguente:
– Fase densa circa 30 l di gas di trasporto per 1 Kg di prodotto.
– Altri sistemi circa 1000 l di gas di trasporto per 1 Kg di prodotto.
• Bassi costi di manutenzione, poche parti in movimento permettono una minore usura dell’impianto rispetto ai metodi di trasporto tradizionali.
